1. Please create an account using the "Create new account" link on the left. Then, check your e-mail inbox (or spam folder!) for a link to complete the registration and log in. While we send the msg in seconds, your e-mail provider could take minutes or even hours to process it (especially true of free e-mail svcs like MSN, Hotmail, AOL and Juno that often slow down e-mail delivery as an anti-spam measure).

Steps 2 through 4 require that you have completed step 1 and logged in.

[If you are happy with the way your info appeared in last year's directory, please skip this step! We'll use last year's information, and bump your student up to the next grade.] Click on the "Directory info form" link at the left to supply directory info for each student.

3. To join the PTSA (only Members receive a printed copy of the student telephone directory), click on the "PTSA Membership" link on the left.

4. Please volunteer! Click on the "Volunteer info form" link on the left. No offer of help too small -- please see what's available.

5. Did you receive an e-mail update about the directories and a few other things from the PTSA Co-Presidents on 9/16? If you didn't, you are not on the PTSA e-mail list and will miss important messages sent during the school year. Please visit the "PTSA Web site" link on the left (the e-mail signup button is at the top of the PTSA Web site Home page).

6. [Optional.] If you would like to change your password to something easier to remember, click on "My account", then "Edit" at the top of the page, and enter a new password.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q. I enter my userid and pw, and the same screen comes up -- with no error message. I'm ready to throw my computer and the PTSA's Webmaster out the window. Should I?
A. Maybe, but let's try something first! Can you log in using this page (click)? If so, then click on the "Home" link on the left after you log in to get back to these instructions. [A small percentage of users have problems w/ this system. No one knows why, and the system developers have been trying to eliminate the problem for over 5 years.]

Q. I get an error once I'm on the PayPal site. What can I do?
A. PayPal's heavy-duty security is comforting -- they really do safeguard your info and money. But, the price is that the security measures sometimes get in the way for a small percentage of users. If you know how to clear your browser's cache and cookies, give that a try. Trying later usually works, too.

Q. My American Express has a $50,000 credit limit and PayPal says I have to use another card. What?!
A. No one knows how PayPal reduces online fraud, so it can't be explained. Your only option is to use another card or to try again later.

Q. I decided to read this FAQ before following the instructions. Sounds like there are a lot of problems. Should I just do the paper thing and save myself some aggravation?
A. Of the first 250 people to try this system, about 10 have reported a problem. This FAQ and a completed server upgrade addresses most of their problems, and you'll likely experience smooth sailing! If not, please contact the Webmaster at webmaster@hhsptsa.org.
