| For many years, the PTSA has subsidized a
fund for students in need (the elementary and middle school PTOs
also do this). School officials (usually counselors and grade-level principals) field requests, and then Dr. Nesbitt approaches the PTSA. At no time does any member of the PTSA know the identity of the student in need -- Dr. Nesbitt disburses the funds. Examples of typical needs are Senior class dues and Senior prom expenses. Unfortunately, current economic conditions have caused an increase in need that is higher than anything that the current HHS and PTSA administrations have experienced. Dr. Nesbitt is looking to other funding sources, but has indicated that he will have to ask the PTSA for more assistance.
